This course is awareness training for personnel who work near confined spaces, are associated with confined space operations but are not required to actually enter the space, or who work alongside operatives who do work in confined spaces.
Confined spaces include meter pits, valve chambers, booster pumping stations, man entry sewers, utility service subway tunnels, aqueducts and complex wet walls. The course does not train or certify operatives to enter confined spaces. Candidates will learn about the risks and responsibilities around confined space working, in theory.
Successful candidates will receive a JPS Training certificate, valid for one year.
This half-day course can be held at our training centre or at a location of your choice, providing there is space for up to ten candidates to be sat at desks, and sufficient space and power for the instructor’s laptop and projector.
If you have any questions or would like to book this course please call 01279 357 400, or e-mail adam@jpshire.co.uk
Please note that the course will be in written and verbal English. A translator can attend the course to assist your operatives but they can only translate, they cannot be a candidate on the course itself. Please let us know in advance if a translator will be attending.
